A rubbery swim... and then more bloods :(

Barb and I teamed up for one of our now-legendary swimming sessions, except that she doesn't swim much now, because she'll have already been to the gym and worked up a sweat.  Which is what she did today... and you should have seen her!  She was positively glowing!!!  I'm so proud of her for opening herself up to that kind of land-based pain... I couldn't do it for love nor money.

We were in the proper hydrotherapy pool today, with gently sloped steps down into the water, which is roughly 32 degrees Celcius.  Makes for a soothing and mentally de-stressing workout... just space and time to do your thing...so Baba just floated around the pool while I did mine.  Again, got through the workout with only one pause this time :)

Late this afternoon, had the first of what I think will be many more blood tests to start the thyroid investigation.  Dr B said she hadn't done any for a while, so she ordered them - bloody vampires... it's all right for them... I feel like a frickin' pincushion!

I did a weight check on her scales, as they're the ones I'll be going to the most... they said 136.7kg.  So I'll mark that as my start point, and every now and again I'll add in my progress here, so that anyone who is interested can look at the progress.

So we won't find out the results of the bloods for another week or two, by the time the Easter break and the May long weekend come around.

And I'll get several more rubbery swim sessions in before then :)

I love my Baba for supporting me through this journey... thank you, hunny xx

Today was bliss. You're doing great, Banannie - one day at a time is all any of us can do. Thank you for your company!
